The role:

We are seeking a specialist with experience in handling HR who will be supporting our managers and employees and overseeing the US multi-state payroll (around 30 employees) by coordinating with payroll vendor providing clear standards and policies and putting in place a support structure that ensures continuity for Usend’s growing business.

This position will report to the HR Coordinator.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensure new hires are set up into the payroll systems, including applicable tax and benefit deductions.
Overesses employee terminations with HR and process on a timely basis.
Communicate with payroll service provider to ensure timely, accurate processing, and compliant with local requirements.
Ensures accurate time off accruals and holidays.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and tax obligations. Manages timely set-up for payroll in new jurisdictions.
Manages employee leaves of absence.
Provides excellent customer service to staff and serves as a point of contact for day-to-day employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and other human resources topics as appropriate.
Provides training and support to employees as needed.
Create, monitor and distribute payroll reports to HR and Finance.
Skills and Requirements:

Language Skills: Portuguese and English are a must

Bachelor’s degree
2-4+ years work experience performing payroll/human resources.
Strong knowledge in labor legislation.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Desired:

Certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, FPC is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary starting with $50,000 – range will depend on experience and knowledge.
